Test Standard:
To achieve "Conformance", specimens of PWA 407 rubber prepared and tested in accordance with the procedure of Appendix B shall have a lap shear strength of not less than 140 PSI.

Test Procedure (Appendix B):
- PWA 407 Rubber Specimens were prepared in accordance with PWA 407 using 1" x 6" AMS 4037 Aluminum panels.
- Specimens were immersed in the candidate cleaning solution for 2 hours at room temperature using the manufacturer's recommended concentration.
- Specimens were then tested in accordance with ASTM D 816 Method B, type 1 [ASTM 0 816 Method B, type 1: After the exposure period, specimen was clamped in the grips of a tension testing machine. The clamps were separated at a rate of 0.8 mm/s (2 in./min) and the force causing-separation of the specimen was recorded in pounds per square inch.]
